Graflex clamps. How were (are) they made?

I'd love one for an ESB, maybe. I hate mylar tape and I hate the logo. While I want an accurate prop dimentionally, I'd rather have something that feels more "in universe."

The embossed tape is clearly shown in several shots of at least ONE of the Luke ESB sabers. Also, see Parts of Star Wars for a great shot of the prop with the tape.

Yup. Narrow untextured on the Hoth version, textured tape at dagobah (with no top button). The textured one is rarely seen on film but prominent in reference material, so that's what many fans are familiar with.

Research is progressing - it looks as though Russ *may* be able to produce clamps at some point in the future - with the G R A F L E X logo, and without.
When we're in a position to say for sure, I'll start a new thread.

Russ is fast becoming a one stop shop for OWK parts, just the bubble strip left to go :lol

I asked Hydin if he could have some made out of crystal - but no go. :unsure

This was discussed years ago, and it would just be too costly from the get go. granted it would be the coolest part of the lightsaber though.

To me, it would have to say Graflex on the clamp. They arent that hard to make from scratch, but I would want an accurate one if needed.
