Goodbye Alex Trebek

So sad to hear that he died this morning. Pancreatic cancer took my dad in 2011. If you are diagnosed with that, you have about a year to a year and a half left to do whatever you want to before it takes you. Very low survival rate.

We all knew it was coming, but still so damn sad. Went to a taping a few years ago, and Alex took questions from the audience during commercials. He seemed like a genuinely nice man. Agree that the show won't be the same without him. The format, etc., will be identical, but he was the heart. Can't replicate that. Rest easy, Alex.

Very sad to hear of his passing. With the recent passing of Sean Connery, it cheered me up a little thinking about the Sean Connery/Trebeck nemesis relationship from Celebrity Jeopardy segments on SNL. The two arch enemies are squaring off again in the afterlife! RIP.

This is so sad to hear. I'm sure he is in peace now, pancreatic cancer is the worst kind anyone can have. I'm glad he lived this long and enjoyed life to its fullest.

I was listening to an interview with him on NPR just about three weeks ago. The reporter asked him how he wanted to be remembered.

Alex said “as a kind uncle”

That you did, sir. That is how I’ll remember you.

I think that would be sensational. It makes sense too given his past television experience

I think that they should go with, at least, a multilingual host that knows how to pronounce foreign words properly

I believe his last show is going to air on Christmas day. It is going to be bittersweet to say the least.

I originally understood Alex's last show was going to air on Christmas but his last five shows are this week.

Gone a year today (11/8/20). Still watching Jeopardy, but I miss Trebek. I'm not digging Amy Farrah Fowler as host. Too stiff. It's Fun With Flags part deux. Eye of the beholder.
