Hey gang I'm going to meet julie Benz on april 15th and was wondering what to have her sign from "DEXTER" :confused Any suggestion would be great :cool

In what context are you meeting her? Is it an appropriate context in which to ask for an autograph?

Ah, ok, so you won't exactly be "meeting her" in the sense of a social context, more in the sense of a commercial context. In that case, I'd say bring whatever you like, and be prepared for her to give you attitude (since I hear that's what she does at cons).

Hey, I'll be there too! Should be a fun show. I hope the rumors about Julie are wrong and she's sweet as pie to you.

Unfortunately her reputation preceeds her.

Fingers crossed that either the rumours were wrong, or that she has changed her attitude ala Michael Biehn.

If you get her to look up at you or get off her phone for 30 seconds while she signs, I'll be impressed. She was horrible to everyone from fans to volunteers when she was at Emerald City ComiCon.

As for suggestions, she'll have a bunch of photos to purchase if you don't come up with something.

Although I have heard it as well, but when I met her in NYC she was nice, err at least to me. Signed everything I had and took 2 photos with me. Then I ran into her again in NYC on the street, didnt have anything for her to sign since I wasnt expecting to see her, but she stopped for every fan that came up to her on the street.

As for Michael Biehn, I met him awhile back right after Planet Terror came out. He wasnt a jerk per se, but he did not want to be there and his prices were crazy even prices to get a photo with him. A year later I met him again at another con and it was the complete opposite, hell he even smiled in the pic the second time around.

Its really hit or miss, any given day someone can have a bad day....granted if they are getting paid to be there then they really should suck it up and realize its the fans that keep them in business.

Do cons keep lists of these people not to invite back? I hope she isn't that bad to you guys. Seems like these folks vary from con to con.

Unfortunately, my experience with Julie has been echoed by far too many people for me to believe that it's just a matter of 'a bad day now and then'. If anything, it seems that sometimes people catch her on the occasionally really GOOD day.

@Firesprite - then consider me lucky :)

@Wes R - Im not sure about the larger cons, but the more horror geared cons on the East coast, I know for a fact they have a "not invited back list". I remember the last one that was banned was Andrew Bryniarski because he started a fight in the hotel bar.

Hey guys I appreciate the advice on how she's not that nice but this thread is not meant for that.I'm looking for suggestions on what I should get signed? Any help?

(Sorry for the hijack- but I have to respond to this)

Michael Biehn was a jerk? What a drag. I've always liked him.

Michael Biehn "was" a jerk. Emphasis on "was".

He had a reputation of being under the influence at cons or, being generally grumpy with fans to blowing up at con organizers in public view.

I had never met him in person until Dragon Con in 2009. I was extremely trepidatious as was most of the Aliens Legacy group.

He was a complete 180 from his reputation! :thumbsup

He was genuine and patience with all his fans that weekend. He dispelled all the bad mojo. Our group presented him with an honourary award (the Aliens Legacy Gold Award which consists of a framed document and gold Dropship Wings). He accepted it graciously. He was even kind enough leave his signing table to go back to his hotel room and retrieve it the next day so we could take a picture of him with it (something that in the excitement of the moment we forgot to do when we presented it to him).

So Michael Biehn is 100% positive in my books. :thumbsup

One thing I will say is that he comes off as being slightly shy. I can relate as I myself can be shy at social gatherings. In turn people who don't know me think I might be stuck up or a wet noodle. :unsure :lol

Ask he to sign a Boondock Saints 2 blu-ray with the bargain-bin price tag still attached, that should put her in a good mood. lol

(I liked Boondock Saints 2.)

I heard she's nice. Just get an 8x10 of her signed. Maybe get the tennis shoe that she wears in No Ordinary Family signed.
