Did anyone here go to GENCON in costume? I saw some troopers there, a vader, royal guard, Han and Durge. I will withhold comment in case anyone was there.

BTW next year my buddies and I are planning a squad of IG soldiers from Warhammer.

I was there saturday busting things up, of course i was in more pics than i took but here are the few i did

I had a great time and the mythbusters were awesome in person.

I was there in my AP TK Saturday. I even talked a little with protokev(nice pics btw). I don't have any pics though.

I remember seeing you. Nice pics. Too bad you did not get one with Gigi....mmmmchiana.

Anyone know the guy who did the Durge? That was a great costume. How about the Vader walking around?

Theres only one durge I know and thats Thomas hes The Clone Emperor here on the boards. His work is always amazing and hes a great guy.

We had a great time. I am the Jango in the pic.

Wish I coulda went this year... I went last year in my ESB fett& met the Clone Emperor there. I'm almost positive he was the Durge as mentioned. Looks like there were alot more SW costumes this year. Last year there were very few. Very nice Jango there Asok;)

ACk...the pic is not showing up. Which Jango were you? Did you have a mini Boba with you? There was a couple Leias, both interesting for completely different reasons. My buddy was upset because he did not get his Jake from Tales of the Golden Monkey ready in time. Damn Neil Cooper and his inability to actually deliver a jacket.

I am debating about the con I am going to go to next year. I think I have to go to Origins in Columbus, it is closer, cheaper on food, loads of convienient bars and they give military a discount. When I asked at Origins a member of the event staff was pretty rude about it.

These are all my Legion related Gen Con 2006 images. I am a little back-logged on my convention reportage, but I hope to have my last three events up on my web gallery before D*C.

TK0900, Lucas Film Licensing Event Coordinator Mary Franklin, and DURGE. It was neat to have a one to one conversation with Mary about the many mysteries of Star Wars fandom. Mary even helped me untangle my hair from the wiring in my helmet.

I very much enjoyed my visit to Gen Con this year, largely in part to the wonderful brotherhood that is the 501st. It was great to see Southern Outpost and Bloodfin in force. Special thanks to the trooper who opened his home to me so that I could rest, and my brother from the MWG (Jeremey I believe) who helped keep me hydrated while in costume. And once more for all those who helped me keep my costume together as parts popped off.

See you all at the big reunion.

Be well,
Thomas

The Vader was Micah Finchum, he is a member of the Bloodfin Garrison.

We weren't there, but some of our work was. A customer dressing up as Goldmoon from the Dragonlance novels was wearing a Brooch, and carrying a staff with a head made by us, and got to chat with Margaret Weiss & Tracy Hickman, the authors. Did anyone snap any pictures of her?

Did not see the Femtrooper there. I told my friends about the costume though. They are not into the whole costuming thing but I am trying to get them involved.

hey hey....who's the hottie?

Kari Byron from Mythbusters.

The other two pic in the first three pics are Grant Inahara and Tory Belleci. They work for Jamie and Adam on the show. I always wondered what happened to Scottie and why she isn't on any more (cute blond welder chick).

Yeah, what happened to her, I liked her better than Kari.

I don't know if anyone here did, but my husband did.
