Fusion cutter

I wanted some tools for my custom mando a while back and I knew a fusion cutter was one thing I wanted so using this stock image I machined a handle that was pretty close. I hit up a guy (Kaz) in one of the mando costume building groups I knew did 3d modeling and printing and he modeled up the “head” for it based off the measurements of the handle. So in exchange I machined him a handle and the metal rod that comes out of the front. This was the first time I was able to collaborate with another maker to make a thing happen. I could have milled the head from some solid aluminum stock but since it was being painted black anyways and it’s just a small prop honestly I just didn’t feel like putting that level of work into it just yet.

Nice! I need to build some cool accessories for my Mando
Yeah pouches galore is sufficient and all but I always want stuff that you can see it and it’s like “oh that’s clearly a weapon or a tool” and the typical bounty hunter for hire is... dare I say overplayed? so my dude is primarily a ship mechanic, I’ve made a suitable enough hydrospanner as well
