Ummm...why go through all the trouble to write custom scripts for the site?

It would take less than 5 minutes to create an honest to goodness 'fluid width' version of each style we already have. I'm sure if you sweet talked the Mods they'd hook you up...maybe not today, as I'm sure they are quite busy, but you know, later.

Because, The Staff has previously stated they will not be doing the above, and that the site will stay a fixed width...

That, sir, is a PERFECT reason to go through the effort. I had no idea they were opposed to doing it. :cool

I believe at the time Art stated it was to keep the formatting consistent with the website design and layout as they wanted it to appear across the board for visitors...

It's an easy end user mod if you want it fluid, so it's not like it's a huge issue for those that desire it bigger you just need to do it... I personally have many tweaks done via a Grease Monkey script that suits my viewing needs and wants, not only on this forum but on others I visit regularly...
