Freeborn/Maley 1/1 Yoda bust , finished photos

Here he is. I was lucky enough to meet Nick Maley the co creator of the original Yoda puppet this week in Saint Martin. I had photos of this little guy to show him and he really liked it. Great guy to talk to by the way.
I found out something interesting, he and Freeborn were only consultants on this piece, not the sculptors.

Wow. That's one of the best I've seen...the bit of a smug look to the mouth and the Einstein eyes are fantastic.

Interesting about the consulting too, I thought Freeborn actually did the sculpt.

I had thought the same thing because both their names are engraved on the back of this piece. Nick didn't tell me who sculpted it, just that he and Stuart only consulted on the piece for the guy. Either way, it's a great sculpt that looks original to me.
Here is Nick's store down in the Islands, he actually has 2 there now. This one was a two story shop. Had all kinds of neat Star wars things there.. copies of original storyboards, autographed posters, had a lifecast wall in the studio, had a trooper helmet in there and a lifesize yoda on display. That's one of the 'cking' Yoda's from a few years ago - sculpted by a very talented (anonymous) artisan.
