I've just seen the final pics of the new Freddy glove over at K4FGloves.com and its truly amazing. I was hoping if anyone could tell me what parts you would need to scratchbuild one of these. It appears it has two hinge type things on it but from what and what would you use forthe rounded finger tips, any help would be great.

I used standard end caps and built a die to form them over after heating them. Here's a few pics of the one I made before any real ref photos where available ( before K4), so I missed the bottom hinge deal.

:eek thats truly amazing even without the hinges its better looking than the one you can buy. Is there any chance i could please grab a tutorial and templates, again much appreciated

Very crude & very primitive. I like it a lot.
It does look much better than the one they are selling. Their rear hand strips almost look plastic.

Thanks guys, it was a project for myself. It was the 4th glove I've built, I've only built 5 in total and only the one remake.

Sorry no tutorial and I didn't do any templates up, just built it as I went. If you've never built a Freddy glove I would build a few of the original ones first, this one is about 3X the work.

What did you use to make the forming die?

Just mild steel turned down on the lathe, you could use brass or stainless if you'd rather the copper gets really soft when heated. I built 3 different sizes, one for the index and ring finger one for the middle and one for the pinky. If you don't have access to a lathe with a radius turner and don't feel like grinding them up you can just source out the closest size ball peen hammer, should get you close. Hope that helps you out.

great looking glove
would love to see what you could do when you have more reference matarial to work with
