Something caught my eye the other night as I was flipping through my Firefly Official Companion. It has some half decent caps of the box of Strawberries that Book hands to Kaylee that she subsequently takes tothe galley for the "how I wish I was a strawberry" scene...
I'm a long time Cigar smoker, and the box pretty quickly jumped out at me as a Cigar box of some sort. The caps in the Official Companion were not very good, so I grabbed them from my FF DVD set.
Apologies if the aspect ratio is a bit off in some shots...

The box is a Bahia Cigar box.
The printing on the lid of the box says...
Bahia
Trinidad
Tony Borhani (The creator of the Bahia cigar line)
As near as I can tell, the sides of the box just say Bahia with the Trinidad (or possibly Tony Borhani) subtext. There are no markings I can see that indicate the size of the cigar it once held, but based upon the size of the box in Book's hand, I think it must be Mini Corona, or Robusto. You can see that the box is short, and almost square.

Now, the problem is that all the Bahia cigar boxes I see online are of a different design. The one used in Firefly clearly has tongue in groove edges, whereas the newer boxes I see online do not.
I'm going to check a couple of local cigar shops as most of them sell empty cigar boxes. It would be a nice and cheap addition to a Firefly display to get one of these, and drop a couple of fake strawberries in it.
If anyone has a line on where to get the box, please let me know.
