Fifth Element Zorg Remote: DONE!

I'm always happy to be able to remove a prop from the work bench, no matter how big or small. So tonight, being such a big fan of The Fifth Element, I was EXTRA happy to finally roll this little gem out.

It's Zorgs ZF-1 Remote!

Of course, I've blogged all about it on my work bench blog. The latest entry shows the last few steps.

I had a really great time on this project, as it turned out to be quite a search for the found item/game used as the base. Met some great folks, and found it to be very rewarding. Getting the right reflective tape was the easiest part!!!

Thanks for looking!

Awesome job, Matt. Mine's completed, besides the reflective tape (I can't find anything like it here in Australia, I've tried like 5 stores! :lol).

Leave Matt one crate...for the cause.

Dude, seriously, that is like soooo freaking awesome. Great job IDing the game! :D

I'm definitely going to try to get my hands on one of those LCD games.

propologist, for France it is not "free shipping" lol
I give the link in case somebody who would want. :)

70 USD is definitely pretty steep for that object. They can be found much cheaper. I DO have a mold of the controller, but it is back home in storage. sorry!!

I just picked up that game and got a little bit better price. Once it arrives it will be swimming in rubber.

for reference, I offered to do a run in the junkyard a while back. I was offering castings with the correct reflective tape for something like 20 dollars shipped. NOBODY followed through on it.

Before you spend time and rubber molding it, I recommend you start an interest thread and get non-refundable deposits.

Thanks for the advice, I will do that.
