Fifth Element Complete Score

Does anyone have a copy of this score? It's a 2 CD promo of the complete score. I never seen one on eBay. From what I know, it was only released as a promo and as a result, no one knows how many are out there.

I really don't want another "Blade Runner" soundtrack situation, where I'm going to have to live with only this much music. :\

Fairly sure that's a bootleg. I don't know if it's the same as the one that's floating around online though. The promo CD has 46 tracks on CD 1. Disc 2 has 25 tracks; 1-7 are the rest of the complete score as well as a couple of unused tracks. 8-25 are the tracks that are on the regular official soundtrack release.

Well I can't tell the details from my phone, but it looks like Amazon has quite a few, under "fifth element soundtrack"

Hi there,

There are 3 versions of the soundtrack.

The first is the 26-track commercially released score.

The second version is the 2-disc "promo" set, which is most likely the bootleg, as certain tracks have been ripped from the film with SFX and include static and noise spattered throughout them. This set includes the Hawaiian song, titled "The Fhloston," and "Alech Taadi,", better known by fans as the "taxi cab chase song." Both of these tracks are littered with noise and are not high-quality. I have only ever spoken to one other person who actually legitimately owned this set, but his tracks were different from mine and so were the track count and his set was released by Colombia in 2000. So, the 2-disc "promo" you see listed online is probably NOT the original promo and is bootlegged. I only happened to have bought it on CD rather than gaining it by other means. The 2nd disc is trailer music and "unused cues", along with the commercial soundtrack release.

The third variant is a 50-track "10th Anniversary Edition." Called "The Fifth Element Complete Original Score," it is not a bootleg as far as I am aware. It was sold in 2007 in Europe only. This set includes "Alech Taadi" (titled on this version as "Police Chase") but not the Hawaiian song, and also includes Ruby's raps without the rapping. The 50th track is an aria sung by Inva-Mula Tchako.

In addition to these versions, you can also find the 3-track Diva Dance remixes CD by the ShooShoo's - these are also not a bootleg and were released again in 2007 in Europe and Japan. My copy is a Japanese release - this disc was originally released after the film came out in 1997 in a special package and I only know of one other person who owns the original release.

Confused yet?

Hope this info helps, I know it's been a long time since you posted your question...IMO, the 10th Anniversary Edition is a great piece in high quality and if you can find it for a good price on eBay or elsewhere go for it - whereas the "promo" is not high quality at all, but makes a good companion piece with its other related offerings.
