Federation Surplus

Anyone here have any experience with Federation Surplus?

I'm a first-time buyer with them, and I have found it extremely difficult (virtually impossible) to get any update on my order. Almost no communication whatsoever. Is this normal for them? Will my items simply show up one day unannounced?

The only reason I'm really concerned is because I paid for the items up front over two months ago. I was originally told three weeks to process the order.

I hope I'm worrying for nothing, but I don't want to be robbed here...

I wouldn't worry too much. FS has a good reputation for delivering top notch products and not taking the money and disappearing. I have a feeling he is just very busy.

It's always a little iffy when you don't know what to expect.

I've picked up about ten items from them over the last couple of years and I think just about all of them took a little longer than anticipated. I think it's a combination of a lot of orders and them really taking the time to build the pieces right.

It's always been well worth the wait.

Agreed. I know he is slow at times but has always come through from what I have seen. And the quality is very nice. I also know that sometimes his emails are filtered into a junk folder, so that might have happened.......it did to me. lol

Glad to hear, I have always been curious as to their products and quality. I may just order my next prop from them!
