No love for Days of Thunder? :lol

Or that really crappy Stallone Indy car movie, Driven? How is it they get racing so very very wrong in movies?
Grand prix is decent, and Le Mans is more like a documentary than a film, but no one has nailed this genre yet.

How could I forget the first Predator?

Come to think of it, I suppose most adult movies could be deemed sports themed as well, depending on how you think of it. Just saying.

Field of Dreams and Raging Bull.

Congrats on the big Ravens win BTW. lol Here we go Steelers here we go.

Vinom11, your welcome. The Ravens clearly felt bad for hammering the Steelers so bad in the first half, so they made a team decision to just let the Steelers win. Sigh, there's always next year.

I'll have to check that one out, Kalkamel. The guy in the pic looks like a carbon copy of Bruce Lee!

A lot of great ones mentioned already, but I've got to give some love to Rocky Balboa! The last fight of that flick gives me chills every time.

No kidding! :eek

After looking at that pic I watched the trailer... It looks like a fun film. A bit cheesy, but fun none the less! :thumbsup

Shaolin Soccer is imho Steven Chow's funniest movie. Its too bad things didn't work out with him and Seth Rogen's Green Hornet coz I'd love to see Steven inject his brand of humor there as Kato.

The guy in the pic is Danny Chan; he appeared in another of Chow's movies, Kung Fu Hustle. His likeness to Bruce Lee is so amazing that he was asked to play Lee in a television series titled The Legend of Bruce Lee in 2008.

Mighty Ducks always hits the spot for me. I HATE sports, but quite enjoy movies about them...I suppose since movies add real drama and story instead of all that walkin' and talkin' you see in sports.

Without a doubt NECESSARY ROUGHNESS (1991)! I have a movie worn helmet and several jerseys form the movie and other wardrobe pieces.

I wasn't so sure about posting this one back in January, but with Squirk's hot girls thread I think it's safe now to post this pic of the star of Necessary Roughness, from Sports Illustrated a leading family-friendly available-on-newsstands publication:
