Finally saw it. Thought it was boring and dull. The Tim Story Fantastic Four movies may have been corny but at least they were fun.

Of course it's going to be a loss, they spent too much making it. It's got a production budget of at least $300 million, plus marketing, which means it's got to make at least $700 million just to break even. Good luck on that. Hollywood needs to start making lower-budget movies if they want financial winners.

I think Marvel fans are going to see it but casual movie goers are shrinking. With the average single ticket cost now over $16, you're looking at $50 for a movie date with popcorn. I think folks are going to be pretty choosy on what film they're going to fork money over to.

I'm lucky, if I go to the 9:30 showing at my neighborhood independent theater it's $6.
