8/28: PROJECT CANCELED
Well, my wife and I tried to make this happen six ways to Sunday and it’s just not going to be practical to do this project right now. Just not enough people have signed up and the financing we were thinking about doing is just not going to be a smart move for us. The risk is just too high. It seriously kills me to do this but I’m gonna have to cancel the project…for now. Maybe a year from now I’ll ask again but right now I just can’t make it happen. The gap is too wide for how many we have and how many we need.
First off I want to say thank you to everyone who participated. Your incredible patience was appreciated in ways I cannot express. I hope you all understand. I’m sorry to have let you down. I’m super bummed we can’t do it. I will be refunding everyone starting tomorrow in the order I received them. It’s gonna take me a few days to get them all out.
I do have other projects I want to move forward with. I’ll put up interest threads on those in the up and coming weeks.

I won't pretend not to be bummed but I absolutely understand. You were up front with us since the start and kept everyone updated. I wouldn't hesitate to back your next project. Sorry we couldn't make this one happen.

I'm bummed for you guys and the project cuz I was an original "in"...
I hated to bail, and hate that the project died off. Maybe if you revisit I will be in a different situation and can jump in, but currently I'm unloading stuff more than buying.
I think this will be a big project down the line, but glad you aren't taking it on at you and your wife's risk!

Thanks for the all the efforts you made trying to get this together. And for all the constant and honest communication. I'm sorry I won't be able to add this to the collection, but also glad you and your wife didn't flirt with financial ruin to get us a saber.

Also grateful for your dedication to this project. I was really looking forward to this hilt. And I have no doubt this project will be revisited again in the future. Thanks again Luuke!
On a side note, are your future projects lightsaber related? If so. What hilt/s do you have planned? Really curious as i'm trying to build a nice collection.

Yes they will be lightsabers. I have some unique project no one else has tackled and I'm looking forward to doing them.
