"Eyeless" mask

Hi, I'm somewhat new to prop and costume making and I'm stumped.
I'm trying to make this mask in the attached file and I'm trying to figure out how to be able to see through it without making it noticeable or obvious.
I want it to be as if I'm looking through the lens in the middle. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

What is the surrounding of the lens like? and what do you have access to construction wise.
If you can vacuum form, you can use a clear sheet then tint it.
If the surface is scratched(like an etched skull, like Emille from halo) you can hide a tinted window over your eyes then blend it with scratches
Thats my ideas anyhoo

Re: "Eyeless" mask

I originally wanted to do it kinda like Gray Fox from Metal Gear Solid, I mainly have eva foam. I've seen some stuff on vacuum form, and I love it! But I don't think I'm up to that level yet. Haha. But that is a good idea, to do it like tinted shield.

Or I guess a better way to describe it, would be like the turrets in portal
