HI
I was clearing out some of my old sci-fi books and remembered/found these drawings.
I don't know how common they are as I've never really followed the saber topics, but Ive never seen them online, so if they are any good to anyone I will scan in higher res versions and post them ( if this is allowed.)
They do look like screen used props in the photos.

The Mechanismo saber pic is the only one from that side. The Chronicles photo shows another side.

A super hi-res version of just the photo would be cool.

that would be a great contribution to the prop builder community, my vote is for a scan of the entire document in hi-res to be cataloged for everyone. I would like to add this to my collection of hard to find star wars documents
thanks

HI,
Cool, I thought they were a bit unusual.
The book itself was published way back in the late 70's/ early 80's, long before prop replica collecting was in full swing. I was about 7 maybe when I had the book? I dont know if the pics are quite common etc so do let me know what you might know, I am very intrigued!!
Here are the scans ( below)
They are about 3.5 meg each, Which should satisfy all uses ;-).....
I have checked the photo scans and they appear as good as they will get in this format- there is quite a bit of detail in the image if you use 'Adjust Curves' in Photoshop. (The actual photo size on the page is only about 20 cm but on the saber esp there is still a fair bit of detail showing)

Anyway, I have scanned them in and here is the link:

Have fun with them, and as I say, please let me know what you may know already?

Hmmm
On the mac they looked amazing but on the laptop (PC) downstairs pretty rubbish.....
let me see !

So, what exactly are these? I am a Star wars Geek, but in no way do I know about these.

They have already been posted (http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=57462) but there's never any harm in making them available again!!

Cheers for sharing! :thumbsup

Darn! And theres me thinking I had a scoop:confused

I had a look for Brian Lewis, Sadly it looks like he passed away, he was only in his early 50's. Did some amazing Dan Dare work in the 60's.
I was hoping he might have had more photos that he never used :rolleyes

As an engineering technician, I really enjoy seeing schematics for the fictional things!!
Some of the Star Trek and Star Wars blueprints (the commercially available ones) are actually available in our office library!!
