I keep hearing about the tracker now I want to hear about the watch. What is it?

I've researched this piece quite a bit and from what I've gathered it started out as a kitchen timer and was modded with a custom frame, made out of painted sheet styrene and a leather band with a velcro closure (as noted how Snake closes the band around his wrist).

There are a couple of angular shots where you can see the raised LED demarcation points between the hour:minute:second digits.

I have searched for quite a bit to locate a vintage countdown timer to mod and have had zero luck so far....

P.S. If you can find one...I'm looking for a "Dial-a-matic" mini-flare launcher for my collection too. It was seen on the weapons/ordinance table (orange handle with a cylindrical shaped flare holder) when Snake is being debriefed for the mission.....

I am new to this forum so that is why i am so late to get into this conversation. I am a EFNY fan ever since its release in 1981! I have a dead on screen accurate "Plissken Tracer", but would love to have a screen accurate "Plissken Lifeclock" to go with my tracer. Anyone anywhere who has the capabilities and know how to replicate one dead on to the screen used Lifeclock, i am in for one! Obviously the digital display is the tricky and potentially expensive part of this "dream prop"!

Thanks!

Do you know if the official name of the watch is the 'Plissken Lifeclock'? Is that from the script or was this specified somewhere else in the movie?
