Escape from new york and la

besides the tiger game i also have a pair of the real walkies. Been thinking about making a mold to offer replicas, yet i never was able to find metal antennas long enough to go with resin copies.
i would be in for a set also is the bracelet availible anywhere

Wasn't the rifle from Escape From LA a really modified M-4?
Something like that.

It appears to be some M-16/M4 derivation (though due the year or release and that Snake fires a full-auto burst a couple of times, I'd say a CAR15 or M16A3), as well as using 10-rd magazine.

Im not a gun expert; This is based on examining the movie (DVD and theatrically) as well as the gun that accompanies the McFarlane toy.

On a side note, does any onehave any idea what equpiment (or good pix of it) of the USPF soldiers, especially EFNY version?

Hi Guys,
This "Watch" was made at Prop'er Effects. The body was custom made. All of the hero parts were cast metal. I think that we made 1 or 2 plastic ones and 3 rubbers. It also had a ribbon cable about 2 inches wide coming off of each hero.
I will post more as I thinnk of it.

Thanks HMS Mike.

I've always loved this style of watch.

I currently wear an Adidas LED "driver's" watch that is based off the Bulova driver's watches from the 1970s.

Used to also have a Pulsar LED back in the day (circa 1978), but in school, the class bully asked to look at it and then put it in a vise during shop class (which resulted in a noticeably flatter and non-working Pulsar). :wacko

Any information about this countdown timer would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
oldzey

Does anyone know what type of shirt snake wore and where I can find it? Also, where can I find his pants and boots with the metal plates?

here's what I have so far. Walkie talkie and tracking device are made from the same real world items used in the movies.

The tracking device is a handheld game called Sub Wars made by Tiger Electronics in 1980... It pops up on eBay every now and then, and you can find it a lot missing the handles (which is perfect for you guys because it usually sells cheap). They cut the bottom part off, gutted it and stuck some LEDs in it. (The LEDs that the game has are much smaller than what you see on screen.)

I started out collecting handheld games years ago, and then saw EFNY again afterwards and immediately recognized it... That gave me the idea to start the entire 'handheld games used in movies' section of my website. :cool

More games used in movies (most of the time as games...)

Thought I'd bump this thread with all the Snake costume talk going on.

Here's a photoshop composite of the weapons lineup.

"I still have no idea what that orange thing is on the bottom right. "

The orange device you see is actually a "Dial-a-matic" mini flare launcher. The idea is to pop a flare out of the rounded piece, insert into the long straight orange section and pull the firing pin (loop/cord) at the top in the pic to launch the flare.

I need to have some red acrylic silkscreened first, but i will be able to offer kits of the tracker. I could also mold the walkies as i have a set, but i have'n't been able to find atennas long enough in bulk to go with them
