True but the weird thing is that in ESB both look discoloured and on the RS site they look like they come discoloured so the fact they start using vibrant ones in ROTJ is a puzzler.

I think you might have things mixed up a bit. The ESB colour (and the colour currently available from RS Components) is that slightly "turquoise" colour, which is the original colour these lenses start out as. The more vivid "green" colour seen on the lamps nearest the red lights on the ROTJ belt boxes are the discoloured ones. The way these lamp lenses are made consists of an outer transparent turquoise coloured plastic layer with a more opaque white plastic layer on the inside. If that white plastic layer turns a bit yellow due to some discolouration, the resultant colour of the lens shifts towards that vivid "green" colour you see.
Ah yes of course I didn't think of the white part, did you leave the inside white part to yellow outside before putting it back in the the lens holder to create the green colour?

There would be many different ways to yellow the white plastic pieces. UV discolouration (if it's the type of plastic to yellow from sunlight), a yellow Sharpie, some yellow transparent paint, whatever you can do to get the job done.
Reposting this here in the appropriate thread. I work with Solidworks as a product designer for a living and I’ve been doing some 3D wireframe overlays using the perspective view mode to get the general layout of things.
I used the official 3D Model for the 1550C boxes directly from Hammond Manufacturing, but I modelled everything else myself using the correct components I have in-hand.
I'm ignoring that one loose metal button at the bottom, based on the pattern of the rest this is how it was originally.
And here’s my model with perspective view off.
Anyways, Just thought I would share what I’m currently working on. Even though activity on this forum has all but died out…
