Hello again,

Between costume orders for Christmas I have been working on a prototype Eragon Costume for the Movie Premeire. We are planning on going to the Midnight showing provided they have one, (fingers crossed). Once I get this costume complete I hope to be able to make one available for someone else to go to....But tell me what you all think of the pants. I designed them based on Hi res photos.... Of course the one I made has only two seams down the side and Eragon's has 3 but alas my son is too skinny to pull of three seams. They would be really small strips so they would look ridiculus on him. But the adult version I plan to make will have the third seam.... I love costuming children they are so small and make the perfect proto types as you don't spend a fortune on materials. Juno is making the Egg to go with the costume.

This is looking really good. I can't wait to see the rest of the outfit.

I'm loving Arya's outfits so far. The two main ones I'd like to make are the tan leather vest with the tan skirt, and the dark leather armour. I'm leaning towards the dark armour, I loved it as soon as I saw it. I think I could have a decent crack at making the tan outfit, as there are a lot of great reference pics. But I think I'll wait for a few more pics of the dark armour before I make it. It's something I think I will only make once, so I want to get it correct. :D
 
Has anyone found any really good pics of some of Arya's costumes? Most of what I've found are small images of her in white on a white horse, either from a distance or from the neck up. The others are all of the advert poster image with her in a bodice and skirt. If anyone has some alts, they would be greatly appreciated. :D
 
Definately. Go check out Costumer's Guide (The movie costume part of PAdawan's guide) that's where I got most of my pics. Which one did you want to do? The coolest thing I found, was that int he books, Arya actually has dark hair :D So technically, I can do the costume :p I really want the dark armour, it's sooo sexy.
 
Wow, very cool. I would dirty them up a bit too with a dark color wash on them. It should help create more of a leather look instead of pleather. Great job.

Thanks so much. I plan on using some Shoe Polish to darken them in areas. I am also working on Murtaugh and just finished the vest. Will post pictures this evening.
 
Okay Murtaugh vest Nearly complete. Here is a few pics of the progress. I have a few more Rivets to put on the left side of the straps. But thought you all might like to see what I am up to. I will also be adding some wear and dark spots on the vest to really reflect the one in the movie. Now on to the shirt and pants.... Hmm somewhere in there I have to finish Eragon's vest. Would love to hear thoughts on murtaugh's vest though.

Fairytales, the pants and tunic look awesome. I hope you have a great time at the movie :)

I just got home after seeing Eragon. Costumes look awesome. Especially Arya's armour, but you don't get to see it much up close because the battle is at night :(

Eragon also has an awesome cloak with scales on it like his armour at the end of the film, and it's very cool :) Looks to be leather with metal scales sewn on around the neck, shoulders, and the hem.
