Electronics - Wire Crimps - What are they and where can i get them!

I need some small crimps, like the ones shown in the pictures, but have no idea where to get them or what type they are.

These are 13mm long x 1mm wide x 1.1mm high.

Can anyone tell me what these are called, and where i can buy some in the UK? I need them for a PR build for the eletronics.

I would go to your local hobby store. Those look like the same pins used on R/C servos. I usually get my stuff from Digikey but they charge an arm and a leg to ship stuff here in the US.

Youll prob need to go to the shop and look through the catalogue though...
Those look like parts that go inside a plastic housing, which might be tricky...

DigiKey does, I've bought them from the website. The hardest part will be searching for it.

You can also try these folks; Performance PCs in their DIY section. Incidentally, I think they do carry the crimpers too, at least I am pretty sure that's where I bought mine, and i definitely didn't pay $300 for 'em.

I have one too but I am not sure of the name as they seem to call it 'PC Header crimpers'. Got them for RM95.00 here.

I am still trying to come to terms of not soldering them after crimping.......... but that's just me.

It can be done. It just isn't pretty or fast. "Easy" is debatable.
