E-11 vintage build for Juansith *PIC HEAVY*

contacted Eltee and I am on the right track so far. Just a little confused on some of the barrel stuff since I don't have a barrel for the gun.

Headed outside to cleanup the rest of the parts soon. Maybe not tonight or even tomorrow. I have a speech due wednesday with a powerpoint, a saber to button up for a client, and my parents are going to florida wednesday, so I'm shut down on this project until they get back. I'm 19 for those who are interested.

So, probably won't see a whole lot of updates for a good two weeks, but I'm gonna try to get some good work done while I still can. I will have plenty of time to work on my pepakura master chief armor build though. gotta love that.

That is one of the coolest E-11 builds I have ever seen. Out of all the E-11s I have seen I haven't ever seen a metal replica. Fantastic!

Well...you´ve just entered this board, so you haven´t seen much by now :lol:p

There have been many IMA kit rebuilds and even full metal scratchbuilt E-11´s in the past, but yes...this is a nice one :thumbsup

dusted this off last night. I have 2 exams to go this week then it's go time on this project (and several others). I did manage to separate the clip and mag holder with some heat and I reattached the mag well last night. works like a charm now. 4 parts of the old gun to attach before paint and electronics.

Update time. only work left to do on the body is after the start of electronics when I attach the muzzle with some weaker stuff than jb weld just in case I ever need to do any maintenance.

This was the hardest part to remove and reattach. I had to get fancy with my dremeling skills because there was no way I was gonna be able to sand it down all the way.

I attached the nub by the folding stock, the spring clip that holds the back cap backward and prevents it from twisting off on accident, the front sight, and the ejector shroud and flash deflector. Gonna clean up the j-b weld joints today and get at least 1 coat of paint on it. also going to make the bracket for the hengstler counter and figure out the mounting for the mag cylinders.

last electronics (batteries, recharge port, speaker, resistors) are being ordered today after I calculate what I need and what will fit. electronics testing will also begin today. I have to learn a whole new board, but thankfully that architecture isn't totally different from CF.

No one? Well anyway, here's a teaser pic of the finished product. I still have hours and hours of electronics install left, but the body work is all done minus the muzzle. it is going on after the barrel leds go in. With a welded bolt there's really no other way to do it.

Still no one? Well maybe the finished vid will attract some attention.

I figured if I wanted some pics of the wire from the counter to the cylinders, this would be the place to ask. I've found a lot of pics showing blasters with no wire. If the wire is more accurate, I'd like to do it, but if there is a version with no wire, I'm not going to bother.

Let me know what you guys think! I'm not getting much love for this build on my home forum, but the few people that have commented have loved it.

Fantastic work! :thumbsup A real deact. Sterling or real parts are the best ways!

Hi there,

I've always liked the wiring on the blaster since I came across this picture in the Mechanismo Book by Harry Harrison, a long, long time ago

Great work, I am certain this build thread has/will inspire lots of guys, ever if we don't say it. Ok, back to my deact conversion. Thanks.

Nice work. Im a fan of the vintage look, rust and scratches all over, but this is really nice! Well done.
