Dye Sub prints sewing W.I.P *UPDATED 5•12•15!* Works Internationally

Re: Dye Sub prints sewing in progress... Pics*Updated 8.30.2013* Works Internationall

Question, if you don't mind my asking. When you put the zippers on these suits, without the person that will be wearing them, how do you work out how much to stretch the fabric when attaching the invisible zipper up the back, since the fabric will stretch a lot when someone is wearing it?

Hi, I'm new to the cosplaying industry and, you guessed it, I want to build a costume. A Spider-Man costume. Now, I don't yet have my suit file but I want to cover my bases and request how to sign on to your waiting list. If you would be so kind. :)
Thank you very much in advance.

Thank you very much, Trophy Wife. You have already been most helpful. I plan to indulge in your services soon when I receive my printed file. :)

Hi Trophy wife, just wondering how much would you charge for a spider suit sewing?

I was wondering about that too. I'm still new here so I thought TrophyWife and PuffyWife were the same person (since they're both really great at sewing suits omg)

So would the sewing be much harder for a puff painted suit? I'm going to take my ASM2 suit to my local seamstress to get it sewn together and just the blue sections and red back spider is puff painted, would she have a harder time sewing it? I read in your thread that the machine gets stuck or makes it seem like it's stuck? And with any u zippers you have done, how does it work? Like does the zipper become angled toward the back belt and turn up into the other hip and remain hidden? Or how would it look? I'm curious about it before getting a zipper done. Still thinkin about doing a t zipper like the actual suit like Redtosuga did on his.

Hey sorry for late replies.... thanks for compliments :) how many zips you need really just depend on which zipper option you want. The puffy paint can be harder to sew if it is applied too thick. Else getting and his puffy wife are super amazing at getting just the right application amount...not too thin but not thick. So that makes the install zipper a lot easier and keeps the zipper from breaking as much bc you don't have to force it through the thick globs of paint. If the suit is painted a little to thick I leave just a smidge of room at the corner base of zipper where it curves to go across belt line. It's still not really that noticeable. But that extra space gives the slider more room to move without touching paint as much.

I hope this makes sense and I didn't blabber too much.

Hey,
Where do you get the zippers that match the color of the suit?

The navy Clarks and coals from hobby lobby..... you can even buy the ykk brand at Amazon which is more sturdy imo.

Quick update......

I sent mass pm to ppl that were thinking of sewing, had shipped, or planned on shipping anytime soon and the maybes.

Just want to let you know we may be moving (again, yes I know!) And I will probably be MIA from about Feb 21-Mar 7 for packing unpacking craziness. Suits already at the house will be finished and shipped back by then.

I know I've given out my shipping info to those who might send out soon and I just need heads up and to warn about the move since it came a lot faster than expected.

Thanks for all the patience with me! :)
