I have a question. How difficult was it for you to sew the crotch areas on the comic book Spider-man costumes? I have yet to have any success without it bulking up like garbage.

I updated first post with pictures. And going to add a few more here ...

First three pics are of the invisible zipper seams.....

This suit belongs to lunaman.....I just am in love with this pic and the colors. So I borrowed from one of his posts....

Working on new stretch stitch/serge. It will still stretch, and also be a little more sturdy. HOWEVER if the suit is not sized correctly for you, seams will still bust!

I can only sew on the designers pattern lines, and take in some. I can't help it if seams bust due to you squeezing into a too small suit.

Here are some we pics of stitch.

Hey, trophywife! I just had a quick question that I actually had already asked lunaman, but I like to double check! My question is about the sides of the mask how they lay on the print. does the left side belong to the right side and vice versa like the arms? It just doesn't look right! No offense lunaman just double checking! :)

Re: Dye Sub prints sewing in progress... Pics*Updated 8.30.2013* Works Internationall

Yes. How the are layer on print is how the hook together. Luna is correct. :)

But he said they were backwards! so the way they come originally on the print is the correct way? They aren't switched around like the arms???

Yea. And don't agonize so much about their position on the print, just worry about their position on your head. Remember, the longer, curvy-er edge matches up with the line along the back of the head and your neck, it's the only way it'll fit.. Here's an example of how that piece fits on a similar print:

By the way, this is not at all on-topic for this progress thread.

Well crap, sorry for throwing everything off topic.. :/ I thought I was posting In the right place since its trophywifes thread about sewing these suits. Thanks for both of your help anyways.

Btw I wish I had time to send it to you, TW so I knew it was done perfectly. I definitely will on my next suit when I'm not so crunched on time.

And thanks again, Lunaman.

When buying the file, BEFORE you get it printed, please make sure it is resized to fit you. When you buy files they come standard fit for average body and average height of 5'9-6'0 for the most part. Every designers prints are different.

I ask for measurements to make sure I don't need to take in some or let out some. But I have posted this and replied with this many times. I can only alter so much, may it be taken in or let out, with out compromising the design pattern. it is your responsibility to get sizing correctly. I sew on the designers line guide. I do not make the custom patterns.

I take my time to offer these services for y'all bc I figured the sewing out with husbands suits. I've said a million times I'm not a professional, that I just learned how these suits work. I have sewn 75+ suits now. I try my best to make y'all happy with finished product, or if there is a mishap I try and fix it or do what I can. I'm constantly trying to improve my time and technique for better quality.

But, And here is the BIG BUT I will not tolerate being disrespected and talked down to because of a mistake you have made. Resizing the file is your responsibility not mine. I sew on the guides or make minor adjustments for you. That is it.

I put a lot of personal matters on hold or the back burner for these suits. Sometimes issues come up with my child, but I am always trying to return suits in a timely manner.

Please remember we are all people who have feelings, who love cosplay, and the hobbies of making and crafting. Don't be rude.

Thank you.

Someone mentioned putting vertical invisible zippers under the wrists (where webshooters would be.) It allows you to use your hands. Thought it was a good idea.
