DS TOS Communicator $9.99 @ Blockbuster

I stopped by my local Blockbuster, which I haven't set foot in for ages, to pick up a GI Joe poster I had seen on another forum and they had the DS TOS communicator for $9.99 on clearance. I was very pleased when I got home to discover it is the metal antenna version! One of them looks like a blind chimp with epilepsy glued the moire ring on, there is super glue all over it, but what the heck for $10 I may just gut it and use the innards on my HMS. I know Blockbuster can be very spotty with their stocking, but I thought I would share. BTW the GI Joe poster is wicked cool if you like ARAH!

Holy crap, headed to Blockbuster right now!!! I busted my DST trying to get the extra soundbyte, looks like I'll just mod that one into a more accurate form.

On the EE version there's an extra sound byte along with a shiny metal antenna grid. If you mod the electronics in the regular version you can get the extra sound byte.

To get the extra sound effects on a regular-issue AA Comm, sever the J2 jumper on the circuit board.

Which Blockbuster/What city ? I'm not sure if every Blockbuster in the US sells the DS TOS Communicator -- or am i wrong ?

went to my local Blockbuster in S. California and picked up the last one.. $9.99 good deal..esp since Toys R Us is selling them for over $20

they also had the DST/AA Capt Kirk sitting on his chair.

They had phasers too ? didn't' see them...what type of phasers/color was it ? was it the grey handle one like the ones they sell at Toys R Us ?
