I found one of these big 1:4 scale figures at a great low price in a local shop and decided to buy it and rework it.
Here's a stock photo of how they look out of the box:
Hmmm... a good head sculpt on a wierdly proportioned body...needs tweaking!
So, I added padding to the body and made it more proportional, but made sure it was still posable.
Next, I resculpted the entire neck area. The figure has a gap around the chin and hairline in order to pose it, so I filled this in.
Then I repainted the entire head and "reblocked" the hat using a heat gun.
Finally, I reworked the clothes and weathered them, repainted the gun and whip, made a mini gasmak bag, set of sankara stones and a little sandbag, and he was done:
