to be honest, i think it was your fault in the first place......you actually saw a movie staring nic cage haha :lol

nic cage should have been the biggest warning of all not to see this film....

i havent paid to see a nic cage movie for years (the movie Kick Ass doesnt count)...I think the last film i actually paid to see was National Treasure 1

He hasnt done a great movie since matchstick men or the weather man

I think he's doing what robert downey Jr did back when he owed money to people and is taking any job that comes his way. Cage lost so much on that stock scam he has to do whatever he can.
 
Machete was so bad it was good! Give that one a whirl, very entertaining for a 70's style b movie

Rated R for strong brutal violence throughout, grisly images, some graphic sexual content, nudity and pervasive language.

I went in to this not knowing the plot at all, and only expecting to be mildy amused. I ended up being very, very amused.
 
I gotta see this tonight as from what I am hearing due to the box-office on this one it will be in the discount dvd bin at wal-mart next week.

I'm going to go see it with a friend today. Sometimes you need to go see a bad movie so you can do your own MST3K. A Friend and I went to The Scorpion King when it came out, We were the only ones in the theater...God what a blast we had ragging on that POS.

Man, I love Nick Cage, and even I could see this movie was gonna suck. Gone in 60 Seconds this is not. And no, that movie wasn't good either.

I am surprised that anyone would go into this expecting anything. LOL, I went into this knowing that it was going to be a steaming pile. Probaly why I enjoyed it so much. I did the MST3K thing and enjoyed myself, very, very much.

Well, my friend and I and 2 other people were the only ones there. We all had a blast. I actually thought it was a good solid B-grade movie. It's what Grindhouse tried too hard to be. Lots of props to do, Especially The Accountants coin.

OK. I'll risk being unpopular. I liked it. I kind of knew what to expect going in and wasn't disappointed. William Fichtner's character of the Accountant was pure awesome! A little bit of a throwback to his character from Prison Break.

As for props...

My buddies and I used to do that years ago when I was still in school. There was a tiny theater on a local military base that would show old bad sci-fi movies on friday nights. Stuff like "The day the earth stood still" etc. One night we were there having fun at the movies expense and a little ways in one of the theater staff came down and told us that if we didnt quiet down we were going to have to leave. I stood up, looked around the completely empty theater and politely asked the man "Who are we disturbing? The projectionist?"

Larry my man I totally agree with you this movie was awesome! I came in expecting a b pulp movie like from dusk t'ill dawn 2, mildly amusing but not a rewatch.

But this may well be one of my favorite B movies of all time! Ofcourse I to watched planet terror and machete and loved them both!

And give Nicolas Cage a break, surely he isn't the best actor but he has made some pretty descent movies "national treasure" and "gone in 60 sec" for examples. Except that wicker man movie where they kill people for good harvest. That made me die a little inside...

So really go see this movie, it's a good going to the movie's with the guy's. Lot's of action, punchlines and boobs!

Oh and someone stated earlier that the girl is lesbian. Check out the top gear episode (UK ofcourse) with her in it. She's bisexual! And she loves muscle cars and guns!
 
This is probably old news, but I wasn't impressed with "Drive Angry".Just like they boasted in the "special features", this film looks and plays like the rough draft it was based on.It freak'n sucked.All there was to see was a hot chick nance around in her Daisy Duke costume and curse like a sailor(not impressive), listen to s&^$@!?Y dialog and suffer through nearly 2 hrs. of a film that had the thinest of plots with some gratuitous violence and some soft porn.The CG was really bad,it just cheapened the film that much more.They should have made an effort to improve on the script.Nick Cage was nothing special to see on screen.It was pretty much a downer of a film after about the first 10-15 minutes.

It was plagued with crappy acting from start to finish...at least they were consistent. I'm all for a film that is entertaining even with the cursing,endless shoot outs/violence and the T&A, but this film ran out of "gas" (pun intended) almost from the begining.This was a totally douchy film and they don't even try to hide lack of effort put into making it.It should have been re-titled "Drive Stupid",or something along those lines?It might be a paycheck for Nicolas Cage, but certainly another stinker on his film resume.

It wasn't shakespeare, but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it quite a lot actually.
