Dracula Helmet Finally Finished pg. 5

I saw this movie for the first time the other day. I hated it. But I thought that was one of the coolest helmets I have ever seen.

I don't know why I cannot get into vampires...I think most are kind of sissys.

The only one I was ever scared of was the one in Monster Squad.

But I digress, AWESOME WORK. I cannot believe that was hand sculpted.

I'm totally without words...I've been a fan of the film since it came out, I saw it opening night 20yrs ago.. You nailed it dead on...If you do a run on this I might be in depending on price?

This is AMAZING! I would love to have one as well kit or finished. Let me know pricing, thank you and again, so glad someone like you did such a great job on this!! :)

My helmet arrived over the weekend & it is FANTASTIC ! Clean castings , great sculpting - can hardly wait to get started on this build ! (y)thumbsup

I hope there is still some more left, and waiting for the words of weaselflinger saying:
-I'm going to do the full armour.
That will be awsome

is really very beautiful. I've never worked with this material. I see that can get very precise things. But, this material is left in the finished product or you used to make a mold? Which hardness of plsaticene you used, soft, medium or hard? I saw that it costs a lot here in Italy, but I could use it to make some detailed areas.

is there any way to get one of these still? or did i miss the opportunity. msg me either way, i have a few things id like to talk about

Exceptional Work! I'd like to start one myself but the challenge looks daughting. How did you over come the problem of getting the fiberglass to settle in the contours? Are the 'horns' hollow or solid? How did you tackle casting them?

The corrugation in the helmet pieces and the "horns" on the faceplate make casting this in fiberglass difficult without lots of airbubles. I used Smooth-On rotocast resin for the finished casts to make it easier. I'm not thrilled with the heat sensitivity of the cured resin and it doesn't take paint as well as fiberglass gelcoat but those are trade offs I can live with.

Hi are you sure you don't fancy bringing it out of retirement? Or possibly sell me the molds so I could cast my own (I'd understand if you wouldn't want to?
