When are you looking to start the first run of the year? I would like to get one, but it would have to wait till after Dec. and a recoup time. :) But very interested.

The run wouldn't be until January. Deposits are being collected now to fill the 10 spots. However, the full balance isn't due until the units are ready to ship.

Update!!! There are only 3 spots left on this run. Anyone wanting in needs to contact me.

Doh, change that. Just saw the price.
As much as I'd love one, I'll have to hold off. Apologies for posting.

For all those on this run, I'm updating the thread this weekend with more pics of the "prototype" body without weathering. Still spots left!!!!

Re: 1:1 BB8 static prop

I have a couple of questions guys.

First, will the head be able to have lights installed into the "holograph" projector area for some cool effects?

Second, the finishing services will include the painting of the head, and the application of the vinyl to the polycarbonate ball, correct?

Finally, I know you guys probably know this...but just in case I thought I'd throw it out there to help...polycarbonate is tough to paint on, but Tamiya makes some good paints that will work on it. Just something I know from my other hobby of RC cars. Like I said, I figure you know this, but just in case it might help with the detail work for anyone that wants the Hero Finishing. :)

Re: 1:1 BB8 static prop

Is there a price point on this? I may be interested

@Jedifyfe Post #22 I believe

"Okay, we figure the entire kit which includes the Sphere, vinyls, dome and all the dome greeblies ready to assemble to is $800.
A finished droid would be additional"

First question, yes.
Second questions, yes.
Final, we know.

Some ppl are opting for a clean version. I myself prefer the dirty look. Weathered would be an arm and a leg. [emoji41]
