my iron patriot upper and lower torso . . .need to finish this baby first before april 7 for a convention. . . .i'll focus on this from now on and put the mark 7 on-hold. . .

all i need to build is the arms then the legs and i need a new helmet. . .

mark 7 update. .still using the mark 6 helmet. . .sealed and coated with bondo. . .came up pretty nice

still needed to be spot filled on some minor holes and then sand again. . .

i forgot to post these babies here. . .commission mark 42 for my friend here in the philippines. . .came up pretty nice. . .i'm using helagak's files that i modified for use on certain parts mainly the torso then jackie's forearms and the iron patriot neck. . .

and still the legs are freehand/scratch build. . .

also. . .here's another mark 42 shin, another commission for my filipino friend based in australia. . .he want the old beige color of my first suit so here is the test run, to be honest i like this better than the gold i don't know why xD oh well

thanks! well usually it takes me 2 weeks (includes cutting templtes and painting etc.) to finish two suits. yeah i'm can do two suits at the same time. . in pep foam templates or freehand/scratchbuild

I have a question.
Are you using a foam and put on bondo on top of it?
How tick it is?

yes it is foam, sealed first with 3 layers of acrylic emulsion. . .then primed with regular gray primer then put one layer of bondo to certain areas only, in this helmet i only apply it on the top of the helmet and the faceplate where seams are present. . .then sand the hell out of it and then add another thin layer of bondo then sand again then spray gray primer again. . . :thumbsup

i derived this idea from doc's thread. .bypassing the heatgun sealing by replacing it with spraying primer before applying the bondo and i works. . .
