And so this is one of those spur of the moment episodes of DonRoberto.

Here are the w.i.p in a span of 2 days (started Apr 21)...:lol

It's official Don Roberts is a machine. He is no man. He is a MACHINE!

You are like a one man costume making machine. bravo my friend!

If only I had your speed my Mark VI would already be built.

Love it!

:lol i knew i can count on you!

DR wanted to go old school. we'll be having a comic convention by May 7 and it'll be focused more on comic characters.

kinda weird coz we could have gone as IM or any other marvel hero that we have but NO. Roberto wanted to build something and one day when I came home he said let's do hordak and u'll be she-ra. :confused as if i had a choice. LOL.

good thing it was a holiday for 4 days starting april 22 and we went to our friend's house to spend our holiday there...BUILDING. I brought all my fabrics and my sewing machine and I did his overalls while they work on a comm + that.

Robert is having fun using the airbrush (not his but planning to buy) so he has so much adrenalin he's just like an easter bunny with energizer batteries. He was doing the Thor armor together with that. :confused

He said he's letting IM sleep for a while, people might get bored seeing IM in all conventions so he wanted to do something new which is ironic because the character is really old. hahaha!

The convention is 1 week from now and we have 1 week to do another set of costumes we can bring. :eek

She-Ra & Hordak

Date: May 8, 2011
Location: SM Megamall
Event: Metro Comic Con 2011 - Day 2

=====

Here it is guys! The finished product. LOL. Epic cosplay is epic. haha!:lol

Out of randomness, we did an epic cosplay from our childhood. I used to remember me watching this series when I was a kid. Now, we just laugh about the epicness of it, how simple and values-oriented the show is.

Since DonRoberto decided to do Hordak, I had no choice but to do She-Ra. :lol At first I wasn't sure if I can pull it off. It was one of those costumes/cosplay that I was feeling 50-50 because I am not sure if it. Robert said it was a challenge. haha. And it was basically for fun. We wanted to bring something new to the cosplay scene and going way back sure does the trick.

When I changed into She-Ra & went inside, our friends chanted "She-Ra, She-Ra" which was really embarrassing and funny at the same time. LOL. well, its the first time somebody has done it in a con here and it brings back childhood memories for all. Although the new kids don't really know the characters since they never got to see it on TV anymore - too bad.

Well, i think everything went well. People loved it. :love

Robert did my accessories, using rubber then covering it with gold fabric. My sword - he made from sintra boards I got from the office. hehe.

Gawd, early morning during that day I was still sewing. haha. the design in front of my dress is also made of rubber & fabric and I just pinned it with safety pins. hahaha! If you turn it inside-out, you'll see tons of safety pins. nyahaha!

I did the dress & boot cover & I am very proud it worked well. I am not an expert sewer & I just knew the basic skills but I am learning & I am enjoying it. I also did Robert's undersuits. :thumbsup

Here are a few pics. Enjoy!

FOR THE HONOR OF GRAYSKULL!
