Doctor Who - Fifth Doctor Cricket Ball

Ok, I accept these questions may be a bit nerdy and I may be trying to be too precise, but...

Does anyone know what make of cricket ball was used by Peter Davison as the fifth Doctor?
And what would be the best way to slightly age a new ball? (and no I am not going to play cricket before anyone suggests it!)

A guess and just a guess but I think they might have been Reader balls made by the Alfred Reader company in Teston Kent. Good local company making great cricket balls, better than any imported crap. The company logo changed depending on what type of ball but this is the one I remember. Yeah I'm biased I grew up a couple of miles from the factory and could get free "seconds" from the warehouse guys :)

**EDIT** found a second image with the Invicta horse (this one was quite common as I recall)

I would think the "definitive" Davison cricket ball would be the one in Four to Doomsday. Someone could grab a screencap. I actually never thought of adding a cricket ball to my Who props collection - not a bad idea. Maybe a bat too...

I was just in notting hill at the market, they had a lot of vintage looking cricket balls for five pounds each.

Coincidentally, I bought a Readers Gold A cricket ball. Excellent quality and local!
