Disney exec says story is unimportant

Man, I go to movies in the fall and winter for story. I want my ice cream in the summer, dammit!

I wish more people would understand this concept.

Not EVERY movie should be expected to be Shakespeare.

There would be a lot less movie hating around here.

I disagree...every movie should be ground breaking and win Oscars or it simply is not a worthwhile endeavor...and I want to cry at all of them...yeah...

So no Transformers 3 for you? I wasn't glowing about the first one, i HATED the second one, but...even with its misfires I dug the 3rd.

Nope. There were PLENTY of good summer movie choices so that I did not even need to bother. This summer has been...like non-stop glazed eyeballs.

Walt Disney would kick this guy in the Nads.

All of Walts stuff has a great story.

Every classic movie has a great story. They don't stick around for decades because of explosions.

I can see your point there. I didn't get out much this summer. I wanna say Transformers and Captain America were the only two I got around to seeing.

Oh well, DOWN WITH THE HOLLYWOOD!!!!!!!!!!:lol

I still hate Michael Bay and Seth Rogen films though. There has to be a line.

Yeah quit seeing them, quit reading about them quit bitching about them.

Then they will be gone from your world.

Just like NOT clicking on doom and gloom threads.....right?

The Devil made me watch that movie! I didn't wanna watch that movie! The devil kept followin' me! I was goin' down the street goin' "Hmm hmm hmmm" and the Devil kept followin' me and he told me how good that movie was.

Every movie should strive to be atleast worth seeing. No one should ever know they are making a film that will not be good and be ok with it.

As I noted earlier:

...Hollywood wants there to be a math formula for making hit films. To make something really great and different and interesting means taking risks and following these ideas in your head."

Come to think of it Hollywood is the the best place to make those sorts of films. If you want the other stuff you can just see foreign films. Best '0 both worlds.
