So Diaz helped me get this costume together, he shipped it to me in two days, didn't require me to pay fully immediately, I have an event this Saturday, it's coming Friday and he pushed to get it to me for the event, man he has amazing customer service, and the stuff looks GREAT!

I'll be wearing ski pants (for the baggy pant effect, inter lining has been ripped out for them to be more comfy) , and a hoody (for the arms and the hood effect) and the over tunic I'll have by Friday from Emily (my girlfriend), she's making it :)

The vest you see is worn over the tunic that includes the sleeves for the arms and the hood, I'm just using a basic hoody and wearing the vest over it, the shoulder armor is a part of the vest.

Looking great
- I have been helping my mother put together a costume of this character for my nephew. It will not be this quality of course, but for an 11 year old he is so excited. I am on the list for one of the sabers as well, but I will not have it in time for him to carry on Halloween. He even managed to talk me into wearing my Vader costume (which is suppose to be display only, Im not a wearing-costume type of fan) so we can walk around together. I really wanted to say no, but if I was him I think that would be just about the coolest thing ever (and it makes me uncle of the year:thumbsup)
So I will be walking around in my (sorry) Rubies Supreme Vader costume with my own Secret Apprentice on Halloween:rolleyes

Hey Knight, that is great man! I really love that you'd do that for him, I wish I had relatives like that :D

I guess he has to bow to you then? :p

If you want, show him pictures (once I take them) of my full costume, and that as he grows up, he'll be able to do those sort of things with the 501st.

He'll really love that.

While waiting for the other things,

I figured I'd show you guys an update,

I'm planning on using the hoody for the sleeves and hood on the costume, I am also going to use these pants, or the ski pants I described earlier. I need to remove the drop down pockets from these pants if I'm going to use them, the belts you see on me, are just mockup belts for a quick idea as to what to expect, they will not be the actual belts I will use.

This should give you an idea of the way the costume is set up, and it is going to be HOT...

The vest will cover the logo as well as the strings near the neck of the hoody so there is no need to worry about that.

I can't wait to see this all together. That's one of my favorite Starkiller costumes and and it looks like it's going to turn out great!

You and I are working on the same costume it seems! Your about at the stage I am, mines going to look completely different. Trying to get a costume out of a in game model leaves room for interpretation. So far I have the undershirt with a black pleather collar, collar is high, with a zipper, also did the vest in three colors- tan, dark brown, and black at the bottom. I'm using khaki twill fabric for the hood, sleeves, and pants. Took a while to decide on the color. That vest was a BEAST to put together.
This is one of the most unique Jedi costumes I've seen. Are you getting your saber in blue?

I'll see about getting some pics up Sunday.:cheers
Do you plan to do the tabards in gray with a white border? I think I'm just going to go all white. I really like what you did for the belts. Tandy leather?

Here's what I have so far.

Still lots to do.
I like what you did for the boot armor, I thought it would have to be more complex than that, but it turned out nicely. Right after Halloween, I'm getting back to work on this. You have good taste in costumes, Fitz.:lol

You're such a big softy, Knight. I hope you and your nephew have a blast on Halloween. :)

The apprentice costumes look like they're making great progress. Good job, guys.

It wasn't the hoody that was the issue, I tore it apart to make it thin as heck.

It was the leather vest, too stiff on the chest area. I need to pad it down.

You should see my pics above this post.

On your vest, I would think that it should be one simple piece bro. I sweated my balls off...excuse my french, at the event with what I had, but you have more than the layers I had. I had 3, hoody, vest, over tunic. Not including the pants and boots of course.

But I can't wait to see your finished outcome!

- Fitz

I don't mind sweating, not sure if taking a layer off the vest would help much. It won't be as hot as my batsuit anyway.:lol I'll be adding a hood to either the undershirt or the tunic/tabards. I'll have three layers too, pics when I'm done.
