Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I posted on the forums but I wanted to show this costume off. I recently constructed this armor for Blizzcon 2018.
I started the whole process by getting my reference and creating my own 3D model using Zbrush
First part up was the helmet, 3D printed on my CR10
sanded this thing a whole bunch and then coated in Smooth On XTC-3D
next on the chopping block was the big ol blizzard shoulders
next up was the torso armor. these large pieces required me to slice them up and piece them back together. I used a wood burner to melt the seams together so I wasn't relying purely on glue for seam strength.
I dont have many pics of the rest of the parts printing so a bit of a time jump. All parts were sanded and coated in XTC and given a base coat of paint.
