Hello and since I am a Newbie this is my very first post. I decided to start this thread as my Mobeus Battlestar Galactica was shipped yesterday and I can not wait for this to come in. I have been looking at pics on the net of the parts that come with this kit and am loving what I am seeing. The only part that gives me some concern is the base. I have seen this in kits before and this kind of base makes the model top heavy and easy to tip over so I guess I will have to come up with something there perhaps.
( I have had experience with tip over and I don't want this baby hurt)

So, in starting this thread if there is anyone else waiting or have already received their model I would hope that this thread could be a place to share some pics and some build stories. I have been waiting a long time for someone to do this baby justice and from what I am seeing they have.

Welcome. And i to am waiting for mine to hopefully in tomorrows mail. I will be posting a build up when do mine Ill be lighting it as well. As far as the base i would go to walmart and look in there craft section they sell pieces of wood that are about 4"x6" in a few different shapes and work well that's what i do.

Well I am quite stunned as my model arrived today Monday and I ordered it Saturday! I ordered it from Starship Modeler and this was the first time I have conducted business with them and I most certainly will be doing so again. Wonderful customer service on their part. As for starting my build immediately my better half just informed me that it is going under the tree for Christmas which is fine. Too bad though as I am going to be spending Christmas Day in my shop.
Seriously though I would very much be interested in seeing others interpretations of this model.
