Limited Run Death Star panel

Bump - three of Option 1 and one of Option 2 left. This will probably be the last of the panels I make for quite some time given the tail off in interest…

Finally got home & was able to pick up my set. Beautiful work! The castings are excellent (y) I can’t wait to get going on these!
One question, are the dark “bars” (the dark areas) are those done with grip tape (like on skateboards)?

Thanks! Can't wait to see how yours comes out!

I see black gaffer tape when I look at the hero prop from the detention block - you can even see the taped over pyro charges and the wires leading to them. So I went with black gaffer tape for mine...

Excellent!
I was wondering what those wires were for

Okay, pending payment from the last few folks to express interest, this initial set of castings is all spoken for.

Option #1 is done - I won't be casting any more of the tubes. But Option #2 still can run in wait list mode if another five folks commit to it...

My hero versions complete and on display:

With all the variety in these panels I chose to make the detention block "Where are you taking this thing?" hero version and the version from the scene shortly before where Ben is sneaking his way down the hallway toward the tractor beam station.

3DImpact What did you use for the metal cylinder greeblies?

Are you referring to the three big main tubes in each or the three little silver 'knobs' in the sneaky Ben blue lights version? If the former, those are the 3D-modeled and printed (for mine) and cast tubes that I initially offered in this run. If the latter then those are vintage 8-track player/receiver knobs. For the latter, since we have no resolvable detail from the one on-screen appearance, you could use just about any appropriately-sized aluminum cylinder - you could just cut and polish aluminum rod and it'd look the part...

I received my red block of resin and I have to say, it is very well made!

All corners and edges are square and true.

No bubbles.

No need to paint.

Just remove some flash on the backside and it's all set.

Thanks for this kit!

Needless to say, awesome room!
