DB73 ANH Vader Completed

Ok i think im done

Still on wooden dummy but ive modded alittle to sit better. all that needed put on is on, straps for shins done, weathering, bells attached w/leather, helmet all strapped up and padded ready to mount mic/amp/speakers. just the inner robe to mod again but im in no hurry now.

Pics are the best i could get after many attempts lol

once i get pics wearing it i think ill apply for my SL no on UKG to finnaly get a chance to wear it in public

any further advice from our vader experts on work still needing done?

Looks good mate - but you really need a mannequin.

It's quite hard to make our much detail from the pics, but from what I can see it looks like you have done a great job.

it looks good man but isnt the tunic supposed to be under the chest armor...? i may be mistaken but i am pretty sure i remember the tunic being under the chest armor...

Not for ANH. The robe goes over the armor.

okay i am going to have to pull out the old movies and watch ANH again... at what part does it show the tunic over the armor??

Just EVERY SINGLE TIME you see Vader on screen.

I have never noticed that before with the tunic being over the armor... i guess i am just use to the ESB or ROTJ vader... well thanks for the sources and correcting me.. i guess i just thought it was his cape drapping over or something... haha

Silly man, don't you know that vaders are never finished........LOL. There will forever be upgrades. I know, mine is worth at least a grand total of 8K if I count all the sets of knobs, screens, tusks, armor, gloves, capes, robes and other assorted details that I have upgraded.......multiple, yes multiple times.

A good solid mannequin would do wonders for your costume. It looks like you have quite a bit of good parts to work with.

Any of you guys currently wear your vaders for 501st etc whats a good mic to wear for comms. i plan to be wearing a hood at the same time

Ok heres me wearing it at last however someone who doesnt know how it should look helped me put it on so robes etc are a bit out of place but pics turned out ok

If i may say constructive critic.

Try to raise the dome by having a extra plate inside the dome so it does so the curv just rest over the eyebrows. It will look allot better that way. For your size i think you should consider a larger cod.
With those minor adjustments i think you will look wery good. :thumbsup :thumbsup


And for the Vader accurate guys.. :love Dont forget the split in the side of the robe..
And if your robe is lined then watch out your vader wont be RPF cannon. :lol That was an interal joke.

Yeh still to add the splits to the robe, ill raise the dome abit, the cods not as bad as it looks the person who helped put all on set the belt too low and the trousers were falling down and baggy as they need adjusted still
