Dave Hester Fired from "Storage Wars" - claims show is faked

I desperately want to see a parody of all of these shows mashed up into a movie...

don't forget to throw in Steven Seagal : Lawman.

In the cutaway commentary to the castmembers they insert into the stories, they always, always have a pun or a twist of phrase about the situation. Most of those folks frankly don't seem all that bright to come up with these all the time. The lines SCREAM "field producer written".

There was a set of Uranium glass, extemely rare, as they say on the show. That has popped up on three different shows. first on Storage Wars, then Storage Wars: Texas and then on Auction Hunters.

My Dad actually has a couple of pieces of those.

And in somewhat related news the cast of Pawnstars is being sued by former talent agents. Seems like the week for reality lawsuits.

I hope all this dirt being kicked up on reality TV shows will be enough to end them once and for all, but I highly doubt it, you know, 'Murica and all.

You mean the conveniently placed duct tape that covers the labels in some of the storage units weren't actually placed there by the previous considerate tenants, who had the foresight to act just in case they defaulted on their bill, lost their family possessions, and somehow end up on a reality show?

I'm shocked. This is my shocked face.

And Hester was an ass, scripted or not.
I'm not surprised, whenever he loses he always has to bad mouth and put down the victor to make it seem like he's on top. The $5k bet he made with Barry comes to mind.

I was watchingPawn Stars the other day - which i used to like - and this guy came in with an old coke machine - i knew i'd seen the guy before then i realized who he was - it was the brother from American Resotoration - a featured player on the show. The episode of Pawn Stars was taped before AR had its own show and was still just a place the Pawn Star boys would visit to get something fixed up.

The only reason for watching this show is for Barry and Brandi's boobs.

Is that the one where the restored machine at the end of the episode is CLEARLY not the same model of machine as what was featured earlier?

Brandi's boobs are better than Barry's. :lol

Yeah I can't imagine any of it is real. Why would you keep such expensive/valuable things in a storage locker? At least go grab them before you decide to stop paying.

People keep all kinds of things in storage lockers and there are all kinds of reasons why they are abandoned. And there *is* genuine business to be made by buying the lockers and selling the stuff inside. More often than not it's a lot of flea market / antique mall kind of stuff that really only adds up in cost in volume, but sometimes they do find incredibly valuable stuff. And I would wager that a lot of times some of the stuff that's really valuable is something the former owner had no clue was valuable (if they aren't in the "collectors" market, they think it's just junk).

Where Storage Wars fudges is the frequency in which these guys hit the jackpot.

I'll have to keep an eye open to see next time they air that episode - which will probably be tonight seeing how Pawn Stars reruns will play until rapture.

Brandi and her boyfriend's shop is right down the street from me. It's on Tustin street in Orange and there's always a multitude of trucks parked in front. The Outlaw shirts worn by Jarrod are sold at their store - not sure if it's their brand but he sure does billboard the gear in every episode. I've never gone inside but I've wanted to check it out to see if anything they get from the lockers actually end up in there.

The only "reality" show that MAY not be staged is AIRLINE. I watch it now and then and it seems genuine...:wacko

I fully expect to see advertisements for this on SyFy by March.

I have two buddies in Vegas who buy and sell storage unit contents. One of them hit the jackpot with a coin colection and some vintage gambling items. He made enough to pay off his house.
