Darth Vader light saber project

Hello here is a Darth Vader light saber I finished over the weekend. The flash cell is from a Heiland synchronar, I know this is not 100% accurate to the movie. Someday I would like to try my hand at a 100% accurate version with a MPP flash cell (just difficult to find). I added a few parts from bast tech (grips, flash button release and clamp assembly). I also placed a toy red crystal gem down the front end of the light saber. I might replace this crystal if I can find one that has a natural appearance. I also installed lights into the light saber to illuminate the red crystal. Unfortunately the camera doesn't capture the red colour, instead it looks orange. I only have a couple of small details left to add, weathering on the clamp to match the scratched flash cell and find an appropriate d ring. Anyways I guess I should start planning my next build, an obi wan light saber with a revealed force crystal chamber.

Nice that your heiland has the rounded slots in the sides - Closer to the MPP flash... The first flash I ever purchased was a heiland, and it has the squared holes. Didn't notice the difference at the time...

Saber looks great, reminds me of the old days on the RPF.

If you're going for ANH version the clamp should be just off-center of the bottom on the left instead of all the way on the left side. For ESB it's centered on the bottom.

On many Heiland Vader saber builds I've seen the grips overlap the endcap to help hide the Heiland look and meld the whole saber together.
