Dark knight eye makeup

I was curious as to what is recommended to use for the black eye makeup that batman wears. I have found that some brands that I used before end up wearing away after they have been on for about 30 minutes haha.

I'm hoping to find something easy to apply, that will look good for hours, and fairly easy to wash off. Thanks!

The make-up that will last the longest is an alcohol-based one, like Reel Creations. Otherwise, any other inexpensive make-up will do-try Mehron's facepaint, it comes as a tube, and is water-soluble.

I was told to use Ben Nye, bought a small Aqua one though haven't tried it yet. Use eyeliner for around the eyes.

BN is a good product, but will run if it is a water-based product. Just sayin'.

So... yeah, I experienced this first-hand last night in my first outing as Batman :facepalm Used BN Aqua and it started to smudge around my face as I inevitably sweat my ass off in a urethane cowl. When I put the mask on it hides the rampant smudging, but when I remove the mask I look like a mess. The area around the eyes held up ok but I also realized I can't wear a urethane cowl for more than 30-45 min at a time, so I definitely need to find a better makeup solution.

My liquid eyeliner actually held up fine and was water resistant, however I think you need makeup remover to get it off. I think for my next go in the Bat suit, I'll just use eyeliner all around my eyes. The TDK cowl only exposes a pretty small area around my eyes so I don't need to empty an eyeliner pen just to cover that area.

For quick photo shoots, the Ben Nye is ok to use and comes off very easily with soap and water, but for trooping around, I'd recommend more water-resistant makeup.

I found with stuff like the Ben Nye or Mehron you want to use a sealer or a setting powder. That will help keep it from smudging and sweating off.
