well it took a long time but i finally managed to see the rear piece on the back of cz-3's head

it looks like a car/auto water pump impeller, i've found some close ones but none exact
my finger is sore scrolling through the 10's of thousands on ebay.

i'm convinced this is what the part was (a waterpump impeller) unless you have other ideas.
so far i have searched....

austin
morris
volvo 240
alfa
mk2 transit
mk2 escort
bmw
mercedes
porsche
vw
classic mini
triumph
land rover
rover
basically stuff which might be driving around the u.k. in the 70's

edit,
also been through,
hot tub pumps
vacuum cleaners
motorbikes
jet skis

Man, this is going in the right direction....but, waterpumps are on sooooo many things. Maybe open up your search to include motorcycles?, aircraft?, just straight up waterpumps? do vacuums have impellers?

the fin shape on this super bike one looks close, but not an old enough company.

First off congrats on finding the right type of part, thats half the battle and very impressive

Ill keep my eyes open

Hi Zorg,
it must be a part from a dishwasher waterpump, perhaps the same model like the snowtrooper disc ?
The Bosch part looks like it . In the middle is the right point.
Best regards

My exact thought, I’ve never seen a automotive water pump with holes in it like that

Not saying the team couldn’t drill the holes in the impeller, but the holes look to consistent for me..

I thought right away dish washer, power washer or a small sump pump

you mean the 6 on the droid part?

if so i thought they might be ejector pin marks, like we can see on the selection of auto ones below..........

from my various searches, motorcycle ,vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, i am inclined to move away from car impellers, the area around where the impeller mounts onto the shaft tends to be much more beefy, the likes of motorcycle ones are much smaller like we see on the droid.
i even found a suzuki impeller with 3 cut outs around the outside edge like the droid one which has 2, i've never seen this trait on an impeller before.

I spend so much time to find the part.
But it is very hard to find the right way. At last i searched after vacuum cleaner impeller ?

I checked them also but I think they are typically larger and tend to have more fins.

The closest ones I've found so far have been on motorbikes.

Throwing it out there but might it be part of whatever the body of the ROTJ detonator might be?

agreed same sort of diameter but the similarities are so near on the motorbike impellers i'm pretty sure they are not connected.

EDIT, i'm assuming the detonator part was not a motorbike part :D

Pond water pump? Andrew Ainsworth made vacformed pond shells. Perhaps there were some scrapped pumps around his shop?

i thought the porsche 996/997 was close but ive looked at kirby, eureka and Flymo vacuum fans and they also put up some close results but nothing close enough.
