Cygnus Tesotek mineral refinery from ‘Alien’

[Malifex]

I’m calling this done - the Cygnus Tesotek mineral refinery from the film ‘Alien’, including a detachable MicroMachines Nostromo (held onto the docking umbilicus by a small magnet).

Substructure is foamcore board and various grades of styrene sheet, plastered with thousands of greeblies. Glued with high-viscosity superglue or, if repositioning was needed, non-foaming Gorilla glue.

Painted with Archive-X acrylic paints.

It’s my first scratch-build since I was a kid (I’m 57 now) and it has been a real adventure!

Thanks It’s around 35cm overall length, and roughly 25cm to the top of the tallest tower.
