So this is obviously not done yet. I still have to make the back plate, scarf, collar bone armor, helmet, and knee armor, but this is me just wanting comments over how it looks so far.

The armor is made from plastic storage bins. I think they were 18 gallons when I got ahold of them. Each one was $5 at Walmart and I used the bins for a gnk droid and the lids to make the armor shown. It took me 2 lids to make the chest armor and the 2 shoulder bells.

They were painted with rustoleum paints and then glossed over with rustoleum matt enamel.

Any feedback on how it looks so far would be great.

Thanks,
Alex

Looks you are off to a good start so far, keep at it and keep posting updates on your progress

It's a heck of a lot better than mine, I can say that for sure. This looks like a really solid build, the paint job, weathering, and the shaping of the armor plates.

I really like the blaster burns too, it really gives a feel of the texture of the material, that being durasteel. Since you're going for s custom build, don't be afraid to get a bit creative with some parts, like the collar bone armor.

On my set, I added some greeblies and extra shaping onto the collar bone piece, imitating the MJOLNIR armor from Halo a bit, there's tons of cool stuff you can do like that. But be careful and read any organizations you join like the Mandalorian Mercs, they have a strict process for accepting armor and character builds.

It seems your armor plates are mounted about 1/2 an inch low IMHO, which you can compensate that by extending the collar bone armor 1/2 an inch lower, unless you're planning on making a larger collar bone piece like I did.

Good luck with your build! It looks great so far.

Thanks a ton, and I did already plan to make my collar bone armor larger than normal, because I want to maybe do a scarf that turns into a cap like kylo's but the rules on the mmcc say that capes have to cover shoulder to shoulder so I'll have one extending corner tacked or buttoned on to the opposite side of the collar armor

I don't know how hard that can be to understand but I hope it somewhat made since Lol. If it doesn't either way here is a decent quick sketch for you to get an idea about what I'm talking about:)
