Custom Dragon Saber

Here is a new saber that I just finished, it has a white P4 led and a Maul MR FX sound board. The hilt is custom machined from aluminum and has a hand cut overlay tube. The blade is 36 inches long and is a combination of Corbins film and some diffuser film to get a nice bright fairly even blade. (I took the picture of the blade in a normally lighted room and it was overpowering my digital camera.)

Nice! A "functional" saber hilt. One of the things that has always bugged me about the original sabers is that they have all those greeblies and bullshizzle all over the hilt. For a weapon that does as much pretty twirling as they do, the fewer encumbrances on the hilt the better.

Thanks, I would prefer red also for the blade color but the customer requested white, so the customers gets white.

The original sabers were used with a much more sedate style of duel. The twirling really only came later. Although of course Lucas knew it was there all along.

As always Do-Clo, a beautiful piece. Don makes some excellent sabers. I can say that I'm the proud owner of the Sith Ravager and have always enjoyed it.
