Anyone ever used this stuff? Apparently it's a air dry modeling putty.

Crayola

How durable is it? Is it comparable to Aves or Sculpy?

Anyone have a review or pics of something they've made with it?

It didn't work for me. I also used the version that you submerge under water for 6-8 hours (or until it gets hard), but that didn't work for what I used it for either.

It is sculpty and Might Putty that have usually worked well for me.

If this is the same stuff I tried (out of a bowl shaped container from Wal Mart), it works pretty nicely and handles detail, but after it dries it cracks like mad.

I wouldn't suggest it for anything that needs to be detailed, but for adding weight or something to a casting it would work pretty well.

i've used this stuff. It was pretty soft, but wouldn't take much detail. When it dried, it was still somewhat soft. I used it to make quills for a Predator mask. Once it was "dry", I tried bending a piece to see how far it would bend before breaking.

It didn't take much.

If you are looking to use this to replace super sculpy or aves epoxy putty, don't.

If you are looking for a cheap material to sculpt out of, but don't want sculpy or aves, try Celluclay. It acts much like clay but is made out of finely shredded paper and volcanic ash. Beware, it shrinks, and can crack if you use to much water to thin it out.

What are you using it for?

I remember using it as an ear stuffer for the flimsy licensed Batman cowls a few years back. They worked great.

I have used it a lot to make my Harry Potter wands. I roll a snake of it out and over a straight section of coat hanger wire. After it dries I sculpt in the wood grain with my Dremel wire brush attachment. I'll have to post a pic of them. It works good for wood because of the cracking. The thicker it is the more it will crack. Definately not for detail scuplting.
