In the more than 30 years since his Bowl debut, multiple Academy Award-winner and incomparable film music composer John Williams has changed the course of modern-day film with his unforgettable music scores. At John Williams and the Music of the Movies, Williams returns for his annual weekend at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and some of his favorites (September 4 and 5).

I've sen Williams at the Bowl three times (and once at the San Francisco Opera House). What a great experience!

I did this last year with a group of about 30-40 members of various Star Wars fan groups all sitting in the same section. Most of had lightsabers with us.

Mr. Williams gave us a nod in acknowledgment after the Star Wars medley when we all lit them up. The Imperial March was the first encore song he did.:$

When we were leaving the Hollywood Bowl, a lot of people were asking about our lightsabers (we had some FX sabers and a lot of customs), and thought we were "part of the show". :lol

Wish I lived in CA too - you know, it may sound kind of dark, but almost every day, I am worried I will hear on the news that John Williams has passed away. I really dredd the day he leaves us but I know his music will always live on - I hope I get to see him perform live someday soon!

The Hollywood Bowl JW concert is always spectacular. I've been going for the past 5 years and I love it.
