So while I was trying to figure out the correct strap that goes on the anh bowcaster as seen in some images I could easily tell the clip type but the material was hard to see and figure out. I have two different types of material that I think it could be based on the bags that had the right clips on them but cant get a definite answer to which of the two are correct. So if anyone knows which type of material was used based on my pictures that would be most appreciated, Thanks

I added a picture of the strap and clip from the bowcaster below. But I cant figure out the material the strap was made of if anyone knows and can either post a picture of the material or tell me which one it best resembles. Thanks!!!

The correct straps with clips are out there but for the life of me I can't remember where they come from. I have one that I'm going to use for my bowcaster build.

I was going to say, I recognize that type of webbing, and considering the source for a lot of crap on set, absolutely british military, or somewhere in the EU

The rings that the j hooks attach to on the bowcaster are o rings. However the strap uses a d ring with a double rolled metal piece connecting it to the j hook. The images below are of the correct strap clips front and backs from mk6/7 bags.

This is a picture I found of the bowcaster using the same clips as described above.

I thought I would add this as I found an image of the bowcaster that was good enough quality to see the straps material, and it appears to be a more square patterned type of fabric. The strap I had bought seems to share the same pattern and I want to say they could be a match. Thanks

This is the strap I got from Trooper. He said it was from a military (I believe Russian? It could've been English though) tote bag. It was what he thought that was used.

What color are those d-rings? Wonder if they'd work as vintage pieces for ESB Luke Saber?

From my understanding the strap was from a British bag and the entire setup is made from brass. I found the picture and thought it might show some new info possibly.

Iirr it was from a british gasmask bag. But i´m not sure if there are many different versions, maybe some close but not totally accurate ..... ?

Many Indiana Jones fans should have one - due to replacing them with the leather straps.

I've seen several versions of the strap. There are differences in the clips and fabric materials. The clip setup is easy to spot, the only thing that I couldn't find out early on was the correct fabric material used out of all the different ones out there. I found the photo and thought it showed the material decent enough to identify the right material for the strap.
