Come on now. Did anybody expect Master Replicas to survive after losing the Star Wars license? Had it just been the loss of the SW properties, and they had moved into a new chapter of their existence, but still a privately-owned concern, I would have had better hopes for them.
But coupled with losing Star Wars and moving into the CORGI domain, the writing was on the wall. It saddens me greatly because MR put out phenomenal products that truly felt like PROP REPLICAS. The F/X line was genius because it allowed them to bolster cash flows and still focus on their core offerings.
But once CORGI absorbed them, they fell off the map for me. So sad.
